Legal referrals
The right Thai lawyer, first time.
We are not a law firm. We are the people who know the law firms — and which one to send you to for your specific matter.
Areas we cover
Property
Condo purchases, leasehold structures, due diligence on title and developer, off-plan deposits, transfers, and the document trail at the Land Office.
Family
Marriage, prenuptial agreements, divorce, child custody, adoption — handled bilingually so nothing gets lost between the two systems.
Business and corporate
Company formation, BOI applications, shareholder agreements, directorships, and the foreign-ownership questions that come with all of them.
Immigration
Complex visa appeals, deportation matters, blacklist removal, citizenship enquiries — the cases that go beyond a standard visa application.
Contracts
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Thai-law contracts for individuals and businesses. Bilingual review where the English and Thai versions need to match.
Criminal and disputes
Defence representation, civil claims, debt recovery, and mediation. Where a dispute can be resolved without court, we'll say so up front.
How the referral works
- 01
Confidential intake call
You explain your matter to us. Nothing leaves the call without your say-so.
- 02
Matched lawyer
We select a vetted firm with the right specialism, language, and fee structure for you.
- 03
Warm introduction
We brief the firm, set up the first meeting, and stay reachable in the background.
- 04
You stay in control
You engage the lawyer directly. We're available for translation, coordination, and second opinions if you want them.
What to expect at the first meeting
We brief the lawyer in advance so you don't have to repeat yourself. The first meeting is usually 45–60 minutes and covers:
- 01
Background and goal
What the matter is, what outcome you want, and what the realistic best and worst case look like from the lawyer's perspective.
- 02
Scope and approach
What the engagement would cover, the steps involved, and the realistic timeline — including the parts that depend on courts or government offices.
- 03
Fees and disbursements
Fee structure (fixed, hourly, or blended), the expected total range, and what additional costs (translation, court fees, notarisation) to budget for.
- 04
Documents and information
What you'll need to provide for the lawyer to begin work, in what format, and by when.
- 05
Decision
You decide whether to engage. If you would like to compare with another firm, we can arrange a second introduction at no cost.
Important
Siam Butler is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We connect you with independent, regulated Thai lawyers and remain available to coordinate. Your client relationship is with the law firm you engage.
