Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 May 2026

This policy explains what personal information Siam Butler collects when you use our website or engage us for an advisory or referral service, how we use it, who else sees it, and the rights you have under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and other applicable laws. If anything below is unclear, contact us using the details on the contact page and we will explain in plain language.

Who we are

Siam Butler is a referral and advisory service registered in Thailand, with its office at 110 Phetkasem Soi 140, Hua Hin 77110, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand. For the purposes of the PDPA, Siam Butler is the data controller for the personal information you provide directly to us.

Information we collect

Contact details you provide through our website forms, email, phone, or messaging apps (name, email address, phone number, country code, preferred callback time, preferred language). Information about your enquiry that you choose to share with us in the message field or during a call (visa class of interest, hospitals you prefer, household composition, intended budget, the matter you want a lawyer for, etc.). For active engagements: identity documents, financial statements, medical declarations, and other supporting documents needed to deliver the service you have asked for. The website also collects aggregated usage analytics (page views, approximate region, device type, referring source) via Google Analytics 4, Vercel Analytics, and Ahrefs Analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or cross-site tracking pixels.

How we use it

Solely to respond to your enquiry, to deliver the service you have asked us to perform, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and to improve the website itself. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with anyone outside the categories listed below.

Legal basis for processing

Under PDPA, our lawful bases include (a) your consent, given when you submit a form or instruct us to act, (b) the necessity of the processing to perform a contract with you (the engagement), (c) compliance with a legal obligation, and (d) legitimate interests in operating and securing the website. Sensitive data (health information for insurance applications) is processed only on the basis of your explicit consent.

Sharing with third parties

To deliver our services we share the minimum personal information needed with: insurance carriers and brokers for health insurance applications and claims; Thai government offices and embassies for visa applications and 90-day reporting; independent law firms for legal referrals; and reputable service providers who host our website, send our email, and process payments. Each of these parties is an independent data controller in their own right and processes your information under their own privacy policies and Thai law. We tell you, before any sharing, who will see your information and why.

International transfers

Some technology providers we rely on (email, website hosting, analytics) operate servers outside Thailand. Where this is the case, we ensure transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards as required by PDPA, and we limit the data shared to what is necessary.

Storage and retention

Information is stored on systems operated by reputable providers under appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Enquiry data from people who do not become clients is deleted after twelve months. Engagement data is retained for the duration of the engagement and for a defined period afterwards for audit, accounting, and legal-compliance purposes (typically up to ten years for documents tied to a regulated transaction). On request, we will tell you the specific retention period that applies to your data.

Your rights under PDPA

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it (subject to retention obligations), to withdraw consent at any time, to object to or restrict certain processing, to ask for a portable copy, and to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand. To exercise any of these rights, write to us using the contact details on this site. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

We use the minimum cookies needed for the site to function plus first-party cookies set by Google Analytics 4 (used to count unique visitors and basic session data). We do not use advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser without losing access to the site, or opt out of Google Analytics specifically via Google's official browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Updates to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The 'last updated' date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the site itself.
